BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute
BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute conducts discovery, translational and clinical research to benefit the health of children and their families. The BCCHR provides investigators and research teams with dedicated and specialized support, allowing them to overcome logistical hurdles and focus on their scientific and clinical work. Located on the BC Children’s Hospital campus, BCCHR facilities include ‘wet bench’ laboratories and ‘dry labs’ for clinical and population health research for a total of 350,000 square feet of dedicated research space. There are four research themes: Childhood Diseases, Brain, Behaviour & Development, Healthy Starts and Evidence to Innovation. Themes are further broken down into 12 specialized research groups that have evolved in response to changing funding opportunities, scientific developments and investigator expertise.

Women’s Health Research Institute
The Women’s Health Research Institute is both a real and virtual organization dedicated to facilitating and building a community for women’s health research. Our research support services are available to all WHRI members and trainee members, which includes investigators and trainees conducting research within the programs of BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre and those conducting broader women’s health research. Become a member today. The WHRI has specialized staff who are available to support services in the following areas: statistics, qualitative research methods, digital health research, grants facilitation, knowledge translation, database design, research ethics and regulatory approvals, recruitment and consenting, budget advising, protocol and data collection tool development. In addition, they offer access to dedicated research space (lab, interview consult rooms) and offer data access request services for the BC Perinatal Data Registry.
